DAY 1: VENICE, ITALY

Upon arrival in the magical city of Venice, make your way to Venice’s San Basilio Port to board the M/S Monet. Enjoy a late afternoon champagne welcome where you will meet your Cruise Director and the crew who will take care of your needs during your cruise. Tonight, mingle with your fellow cruisers over dinner. Early evening departure to Croatia.

DAY 2: VENICE - PULA, CROATIA

Your stop today is in Pula. See her most famous sight, the Roman amphitheater, called the Arena. Built during the 1st century A.D. and completed under the reign of Emperor Flavius, this amphitheater is the sixth largest in the world (of those that still exist). The three-story structure held 23,000 spectators in Roman times and today it hosts numerous concerts and events throughout the year. Look for the Triumphal Arch of Sergius, built in 27 B.C., now the entranceway to Pula's old town. There’s free time after your tour to stroll through the city, looking for Roman ruins and admiring the coastal views. Overnight sail to Zadar.

DAY 3: PULA - ZADAR

Explore the rich history of Zadar as you tour the city walls and gates, such as the Gate of St. Rok, the only remains of the ancient Roman and early medieval fortifications. Then experience Zadar’s unique attraction, the Sea Organ. It’s a musical marvel you have to hear to believe! This experimental instrument plays music by the sea waves. Take a seat on its marble steps and relax as you listen to the harmonic sounds that travel through a resonating cavity and tubes underneath the water. After your tour you might want to join an optional excursion to Plitvice Lakes. This popular national park is home to 16 lakes connected by a series of waterfalls and set in verdant forests. It is one of the most scenic and spectacular parks in the country!

DAY 4: ZADAR - SIBENIK

Begin sightseeing in Sibenik, one of the oldest Croatian towns on the Adriatic. It is famous for the Cathedral of St James, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After your tour in town your time is free. Perhaps, take an optional excursion to spectacular Krka National Park, just 6 miles (10 km) inland from Sibenik. Named after the Krka River, the park covers an area of about 85 square miles (142 sq km) and includes two thirds of the river itself. The top attraction of Krka is its magnificent waterfalls. There’s time here for plenty of photo opportunities before returning to your ship.

DAY 5: SIBENIK - SPLIT

Split is a splendid 1,700-year-old city and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is home to Diocletian’s Palace, a beautifully preserved Roman royal residence. Built on the sea coast of Split around 295 A.D., the structure is more like a city, housing sixteen towers, three temples, and an emperor’s mausoleum. On a walking tour, marvel at its rich Renaissance and Gothic architecture, and admire the peristyle courtyard, Cathedral of St. Domnius, and Roman temples. Then there’s time to explore on your own, shop, or join an optional excursion to Solin and Trogir. In Solin, view the remains of a 2nd century Roman amphitheater. On to Trogir, known as “Little Venice,” a charming Romanesque-Gothic town. Afterward, return to your sip for dinner on board and sail to Island Korcula.

DAY 6: SPLIT - KORCULA

After breakfast, start your morning Korcula walking tour. Korcula Island is one of the largest islands in the Adriatic. Famous for its vineyards, olive groves, and spectacular Old Town, it is a perfect holiday destination with something for everyone. It is also the birthplace of the famous world explorer Marco Polo, and his house is open to tourists. Two symbols of the city’s history can be seen on the Land Gate, a bas-relief of the winged lion of St. Mark, from the days it was ruled by Venice, and a commemorative stone tablet of the 1,000th anniversary of the coronation of the first Croatian king. An optional wine tasting is on offer this afternoon, to sample the delightful local vintages.

DAY 7: KORCULA - DUBROVNIK

You will arrive early morning to Dubrovnik, the Pearl of Adriatic. After an breakfast, take a morning tour of the Old City of Dubrovnik, designated a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1979. Portions of its city wall date back to the 13th century. The ramparts are intact and encircle the Old City with a circumference of more than 1.5 miles. Don’t miss the chance to take a walking tour along its length for a spectacular panorama of the town. You might also enjoy a cable car ride to Srd Hill for superb views of Dubrovnik’s Old City and its entire Riviera. Return to your cruise ship for Farewell dinner on board.
