Gospa od Škrpjela (Our Lady of the Rocks or Madonna dello Scarpello) is an artificial island in Bay of Kotor in Montenegro, it is one of two islands (the other is Sveti Djordje off the coast of Perast). The island was created as a result of the sinking of old ancient ships and sometimes from recovered ships loaded with rocks. Even these days, during the celebration of fašinada on July 22, rocks thrown into the sea. On
the island Gospa od Škrpjela there is the church Gospa od Škrpjela (Church of Our Lady of the Rocks). The first known church on this island was built in 1452, and todays one in 1632, and later on it was improved in 1722.
